About Me & My Writing

Welcome to the online home of Siri Paulson!

I write all over the fantasy and science fiction spectrum, including (so far) secondary-world fantasy, urban fantasy, steampunk, Gothic, historical paranormal, spaceships, LGBTQIA romance, and various unholy mashups of these.

I write and blog for Turtleduck Press, a co-op press for indie writers of science fiction, fantasy, and poetry. I also wear the hats of non-fiction editor by day and chief editor of Turtleduck Press by night. My other passion is contra (folk) dancing. Thankfully, my long-suffering husband is good at keeping himself occupied. After growing up in Alberta, Canada, I moved to Toronto and achieved my lifelong dream of buying an old house, dubbed the TARDIS because it’s bigger on the inside. Other lifelong dreams include publishing novels (one and counting), travelling the world (so far, so good), and becoming an astronaut (still waiting on that one).

  2. Hello,
We saw your blog on WordPress and we are very interested in working with you!
We are trying to launch an online newspaper (think HelloGiggles meets the Huffington Post). We are looking for writers around the world to contribute to our site. Whether it be one time, two months, or one year. The Coffee Courier is really run by journalists who have a passion for writing. For the most part, we really let you write what you want. However… For the first year, we want as little expenses as possible. Unfortunately that means we cannot pay any of our contributors right away. We understand that writing without pay kinda sucks, especially when you already are an established writer, but we would love you on our team. If you would like to be a guest writer or are interested in working with us, please email us at thecoffeecourier@gmail.com
    Thank you
